Once upon a time there were two moms who made chalkboard placemats for their kids.  They both thought their products were not quite right.  One didn't erase very well and the other was very messy.  So instead of competing against each other, they decided to collaborate to make the best chalkboard placemat on the market!  From that moment on, Imagination Starters was born.  

Imagination Starters focuses on creating products that encourage non-digital creative play for kids and for adults.  Our best-selling placemats are sold in over 500 stores nationwide and were the featured toy in a really popular chicken restaurant's kid's meal as well as being spotlighted on Good Morning America’s Deals & Steals! 

When you buy from us, you are buying directly from one of the original founders (plus 2 other moms who help run the show).  All together we have 10 kids among us and somehow still run this company.
